    Insulating corrugated tin roof

For a rented garage it seems a bit pointless. It won't/can't be heated and won't have lots of sources of moisture in it. Why's the roof so wet? Leaking?

    Replace Transformer in bathroom mirror

Cheapy cheap 10w 12v led driver, easily replaced but you might have to pay careful attention to the dimensions of the replacement if you want to use the same mounting points

    Optimising my viessmann boiler

Because a load of people don't give a crap, there's endless numbers of installs where the boiler's too big with load of stuff set to defaults as it easiest to just sling a new boiler in and be on their way without bothering to look at anything else.

    Eucalyptus Tree

My dad planted one in his front garden that went up like mad, they can bend *a lot* so I'd not worry about the fact it's bending necessarily. We disposed of the offcuts (and eventually the tree) by burning in a bonfire if you're able to have one, went up like nobody's business.

    Slab loft insulation question

Rolls aren't as bad as you think once they're unrolled, my eaves were very tight and cramped so I lifted up strips of loft roll sliding them sideways using long thin bits of timber. You typically have to work lying down doing this kind of job. Polystyrene isn't great, if there's any electrical...

    Spray foam insanity

It's not exothermic, it's actually slightly endothermic, which portion of this hatch do you think had some foam put in the void between the two sides?

    Insulation advice

Probably not as It looks identical to the passageway alongside my 50s newtown place, the party wall is normally one side of the passage rather than on the centre, my neighbour has all of the space above the passage and a flying freehold over half of it for a bit of their house. Edit: Apologies...

Does anywhere sell 3-port Ethernet boxes that you screw to the wall, not chase into it?

They're all standard size, this is just a quad plate in a double gang patress box isn't it?

    Tyvek housewrap

Genuine Tyvek looks like and is the thickness of paper more or less, it's made of of woven plastic so if you crumple or or tear it it will be more plasticky than paper, genuine stuff for building use on a roll is normally plastered with branding as well so it's normally obvious.

    CAT6 cable, shielded or unshielded

It's not as bad as people think generally, in a commercial/office setting you'll find various installs all over the place with UTP adjacent to mains with only a small amount of separation

    Power to detached garage

If it's an electric garage door it's power supply would always be on wouldn't it? Tried disconnecting it?

WI-FI TRVs- are these a thing?

A simple Home Assistant automation as it's already linked in with Hive

    Outside PIR floodlight question

If you just want to make it less ugly an easy option is to replace with a smaller more discreet fitting like a small eyelid downlighter or the like.

EV charger but Extra Low Voltage

Some of the fires have cause in all the manufacturers using the same connectors for chargers and batteries but having varying voltage requirements. Someone uses the wrong charger shoving too high a voltage into their pack and it's bad news, I wouldn't have a bargepole long enough.

    BT Dropwire

Dropwires have steel wires for load bearing, joining the copper connections is all very well but you can't join the load bearing steel wires that way, Openreach always replace dropwires, they don't have random joints in the air.

Sounds like an Eruv to me (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eruv), there were a couple round my old way in Barnet, any Synagogues nearby?

If she's eligible, she should claim, perhaps more people will/should if framed as a way of getting their winter fuel payment.

Wheelchair & disability access to a new build

Compliant or not is slinging the path off to the side from the obvious desire line straight up to the front door a good idea?

    2.5mm cable into 1.5mm ?!

Small network switches connecting a small number of ports aren't necessarily very high consumption, unless you're powering a server or other devices over the ethernet cabling it might be OK.
