    Replacement quick clamp handles

I am not sure if what I am putting into a search engine is the correct term as I am not getting anything close to what I am after. I have some okay clamps cheap but do what I need them to. I think due to them being cheap, I have broken one of the handles but it’s useable as I have drilled and...

    Drill driver repair or leave?

The drill driver is 100% usable in all torque settings as long as the job isn’t far too big. Example if I use it to get a rusted on truck wheel bolt, it would just vibrate the torque setting down. But if the torque is the same as the job, I have no problems. Hence the fix or leave, if I use...

    LED wire strip made smart?

I am never going to put a collar back on and put ones on our younger cats who have never worn one, you see my home is the last house in the city, they can’t build more houses this way, there is a load of trees and bushes next to my house, and some 12+ (complete guess) years ago I found one of my...

    LED wire strip made smart?

This is 100% what I need, however in USB-C but I can get adapters cheap, so should be buying that if I can’t find a USB-C version. Thank you These are a good shout, we do actually have these setup but I am after a strip that can go down the skirting boards. The ones we have are not the exact...

    LED wire strip made smart?

Hello I am trying to keep my posts shorter as when I have had my heavy pain killers medication, and tiredness I do over share… Actual post I brought some LED light strips, for the stairs at night so if you go down stairs you don’t fall over a cat. I do need to go and get a second one...

Wires inside a cable - questioning

First thing, I have taken heavy painkillers, I am tired, and I am autistic, I may and often do blabber on. I will try hard not to. Okay. I have watched many YouTube videos about all aspects of the trades, I have even used, or seen people do in real life, but I have always wanted to know, when...

    Drill driver repair or leave?

Okay, after some sleep, a clearer brain (no heavy medication- yet) so I always end up in a chatty state and I do end up talking about stuff that isn’t relevant. So I have cleaned up the post.

    Drill driver repair or leave?

Really basic The torque setting on my drill driver is missing a leaf spring, so when using less torque for the job, (the drill sounds like an impact driver) it vibrates the torque to a lower setting. So do I replace the spring or not. I am starting to save up for a new drill driver. I am...

    Battery connection for LED strips?

Hello I have at least 4 sets of LED light strips, that you can cut down and add lights with soldering or a kit. Each set is powered by their own battery supply, can I join all of the strips together, with either a bigger battery supply (going from AAA to > AA) or by adding the battery boxes...

Sip table saw missing bits? 07776

This is why I am trying to make the saw the best safety equipment I can, I don’t need to change the power switch over, but I am doing so, so it will be easier to turn off in an emergency. I may have disabilities, I do take high pain medications, however I only ever do the dangerous type of DIY...

Sip table saw missing bits? 07776

Okay, I will leave the top free of any paints. I will just do the body of the saw. I am just after the 2 main accessories or spare parts really, I have access to everything else needed for safety, I do have a few blade guards that would fit. Switching the power switch over would be for safety...

Sip table saw missing bits? 07776

Okay, this saw was made in 2001 I think, maybe 2000, either way I brought the saw cheap offline, and it’s missing some “key” bits. These bits are discontinued, or so it seems, so I am after your knowledge to see if I can either find what I need, a way to overcome this or to see if third party...

    Jigsaw blades to replace Reciprocating

Why have I found it hard to dismantle… Well I am autistic, with disabilities… the hospital isn’t sure what happened first, but I have a spinal injury, ankles are shot, hips are rotated so my feet naturally point to the 10 and 2 position, I can’t point them forward but I can point my feet...

    Jigsaw blades to replace Reciprocating

Hello Some updates… I went and brought some bolt cutters, and a new solid heavy crowbar, and this is my new plan that seems to be working… but have questions. I am prying a gap in the pallets, cutting the nails where it won’t pry apart fully. I am then knocking the nails through using nail...

    Jigsaw blades to replace Reciprocating

I have no idea what this pallet is made with, but it has taken nearly 3 days to dismantle… so far… the nails are like screws… the heads are deep into the wood, and somehow bent heads locking it all together. I have used… with no luck… 1ft pry bar 2ft crow bar 2 meter bar Blocks of wood under...

    Jigsaw blades to replace Reciprocating

Hello I have a jigsaw, I don’t have a Reciprocating saw… I don’t think I will ever really need one either… I have a jigsaw, with metal bits, and this is what I use currently to cut through nails… anyway, I have gotten ahold of some pallets, with the option to get another 50+ whenever I want...

Recommend a 10” circular saw blade?

Saxton blades are only a 10mins drive from where my medical appointment is tomorrow, so I will go in and ask I think. I assume they are a store like Toolstation, go to desk, ask and order they go get item as I pay? I am sure that’s what I read but can’t be more than 75%sure. Thank you for your help

Err… one thing I forgot to check and unknown if I need to worry, what size hole in the middle should I need to get? I am not sure on the name, maybe arbour, or a bore… (Sorry, pain, tiredness, medication, hot and autism all playing a role here, sorry for any confusion, I have confused...

    Workbench worktop

I knew it wouldn’t be think, but thin as kitchen foil… My original idea was to reuse old cans, cut them down to say 4”x6” then glue it down to the bench top… I might try this idea on some scrap osb I have. What are your views and advice so I can get a metallic finish worktop?
