Sealed System Loosing Pressure with no leaks visible

Check the expansion vessel. Unscrew the dust cap on top of it, you will find a schroeder valve which is excactly the same as the valve on a bicycle tyre. Attach a pencil type pressure gauge to it, you should get a reading of 0.75 bar or 10 psi. Any thing less than this it will need...

Hi, Change the thermistors anyway because they are quite cheap. The easiest way to test a pump is to electrically isolate the boiler disconnect the live and neutral wires, set a multimeter to resistance (ohms) and measure the resistance over the live and nuetral terminals. 150 - 200...

    3 way valve problem?

It sounds like there is definately a wiring fault and possibly a fault with the installation of the 3 port valve. Check the markings on the 3 port valve the port marked 'a' should be the flow to the heating and the port marked 'b' should be the flow to the cylinder. It also sounds like...

fitting underfloor heating to a y plan system

Tee the UFH flow in between the pump and 3 port valve and fit a 2 port valve on the UFH flow providing the UFH bar doesn't already have one. Make sure you tee the UFH return into the CH return and not between the cylinder retun tee and the boiler.

    diverter valve issue

The easiest way to check this is wait until the heating and water have not been used for about an hour. Run a hot tap and feel if the central heating flow pipe gets hot when the tap is running or shortly after it has been turned off. If it does get hot you have a faulty diverter valve!
