My advice would be to steer well clear of the likes of my builder type websites. They are generally populated by people who can't find work any other way. Your best bet is to ask around friends, family and work colleagues for a tradesman they can recommend.

I'm happy to use them. They sell BG consumer units for £50 including vat on discount days which is cheaper than electricfix and CEF who both sell the same CU. I don't know about where you live but round my way it's really cut throat and if saving £10 or £20 means the difference between...

If you have standard filament lamps, the switched lives at your switch will be at neutral potential when no power is applied to them.

I've got a dimmer in my bathroom. The really clever thing about dimmers is that you can turn them up to full when ever you want. Amazing or what :roll:

Or maybe in the real world sparks aren't idiots and are more than capable of running in a few wires of the correct spec without any problem at all.
