servo is on the passenger side

this problem is still haunting me, can anyone tell me if there is a transfer bar from the brake pedel to the servo ? could this be the problem ?

fraid not, its immediate when you hit the pedel

i took the pads out and checked, these are fine

i dont thinks its exhaust doesnt do it when cold when warm everytime i hit the brake ( from moving ) its clunks in reverse its worse its so wierd

still cant find the problem, what a nightmare

droplinks were changed a few months back, i did swop them over today to see if the knock apeared in a differentt area but no luck, The sound seems to be coming from the middle of the car ( centre of the bulk head ) could this be anti roll bar related ? i had a bar around the rol bar...

jacked car up today, all seems ok, nothing out of the ordinary any ideas ?

this is going to sound wierd but changed the heater control valve and all is fixed

worse when warm in the morning when teh car has sat overnight it will be ok for a few minutes

no issues on full turn either way i will jack up and get the bar out and start proding around

i remember changing the wishbones 3 years ago, both sides due to perished rubbers, what is strange, you mention drive shaft i hadnt thought of this, why do you suspect this ? would this be worse in reverse ? i have noticed it doesnt seem to start until the car has been driven a few...

i have replaced drop links and springs last year i really thought i had a brake issue which looks like it isnt now even when moving forwards and i hit the brake it will clunk, then stops until i pick up speed again now the test will be to locate the issue

sorry, it doesnt do it when car is stationary why would it be worse when reversing ? any idea what bush it could be ?

can anyone help, on a 1997 ford fiesta when the hit the brake pedal i get a cluck sound from under the car, it only happenes when moving and seemd worse when moving backwards, it does do it when stationary and brakes are working fine its a little worrying as im not sure what it is

no air in the system at all, all pipes are hot, 1 of the 4 pipes that go into the heater control valve is not as hot as the other 3, timid warm at best any ideas ?

i will air the system to check for airlocks

this is the sensor on the back of the inlet manifold and been replaced

actually 2 sensors have been replaced, one in the pipe and the other on the back of the inlet manifold the one that is on the back of the inlet manifold also has a wire connected further down to another sensor ? any ideas ?

hi john all works fine the guage is fine there is a sender in a pipe but this was replaced 6 months ago could this be the heater control valve ? would this effect cold starting ?
