A filter is fitted to prevent sludge build up, whats the point in quoting to have one fitted after its sludged up?.

If we check our laptops for parts and theyre not available then we check with our parts desk and manufacts p/desk i honestly dont know any enginner that has done this, again as for price not our fault.

We bg engineers have got nothing to do with price, as for the other probs if the custard complains then it would get sorted if fitted incorrect, how many independants that make mistakes do you know go back and sort them, what i'm saying is that there are more good bg engineers than bad as with...

Cheers nickso what i meant was getting ris off sludge eg powerflush isn't covered so whats wrong with advising on having a spirotech fitted?, i quote at every job and if the customer wants to have it fitted, fine its better to give them the option.

Thats the point, we advise on spirotech/magnaceans etc to stop sludge build up which isn't covered by homecare, its all in the t&c's that every customer gets when they take out our contract :D :D :D

All big companys have policies to increase buisness, when was the last time you went to buy a tv etc that someone didn't offer you extended warranty or upgrades when you take your car in to the garage. As long as its beneficial to the customer whats the problem?.

We dont advise them there contract would be invalid, there are t&c's that would stop us doing that and if any bg engineers did do that then i'd be the first to bad mouth them, has anyone actually got any proof that our engineers say these things or is it just sour grapes that we work for bg?.

Just wondering why all the independants on here continuously bad mouth bg, i've worked for them for 13 years, and yes they have their bad points,every big company does but in the last 13 years i've seen some real horror installations/repairs by other companies and independants. Whats wrong with advising on something thats going to protect the boiler and keep it running longer?, and yes i do work for bg.

How is it possible to repair a flue without the parts?, last time i checked the gas regs you couldn't do adhoc repairs.

Patsmotors, i work for the company you seem to have a hatred for and have done for 13 years,we dont go deliberatly making holes in flues, if the flue was corroded, then it would have been the engineers duty of care to check it, what would you have done left it to become unsafe?,i say well done...
