Combi's & Flow rates for showers

I personally would not go for a Biasi just to get a greater flowrate for a cheaper price. 11.5ltr/min is sufficient for most people that have been used to gravity fed showers - which is the reason you have had poor flowrate from your existing shower. I usually fit Worcester boilers and Baxi...

Combi's & Flow rates for showers

First check your mains flowrate ltr/min. Then check what flowrate you have coming out of your existing shower.(are you happy with that?) If you convert over to a combi, the combi output is dependent on your mains flowrate so bear that in mind when deciding on the model you are choosing. :)

    Installing a second shower

You probably won't get any problems doing this, but I suggest first to check out installation instructions for the pump. Here is a pdf of the pump http://www.stuart-turner.co.uk/media/38321-Showermate-Eco-Standard.pdf Good luck :)

    Bath overflow leak.

Underneath the chrome overflow you will find a hole. In that hole is a little grub screw holding the chrome dial onto a spigot. Undo this with a small screwdriver or allen key and it will come off. Then you can undo the waste fitting. It should have a back washer on it, which you can obtain...

More Banging/Noisy Radiators Gas Central Heating

Don't even think of altering the pump speed or looking at the TRV's. The installer has not balanced the system properly. :)

    Swimming Pool Lining Problem

Is there anyone out there that maybe able to advise on the possible cause of a swimming pool lining problem that was installed approximately 6 years ago. Or has anyone come across this before. Down the center and along the back edge of the pool the lining seems to be peeling or flaking, but...

    immersion heater removeval

Then I think your going about this the wrong way. Have your new combi fitted and the necessary pipework changed and the cylinder will be gone to revamp your bathroom. Well that's the way I would do it. I don't suggest trying to remove te cylinder, diverting pipes etc unless you are a...

worcester 24 cdi DHW but no heating

Number of reasons why. Perhaps you should move the question to the Combustion Chamber.

    immersion heater removeval

Forgive me if i'm wrong, but what you are trying to do is. You want to take out the hot water cylinder whilst you revamp the bathroom and then put it back. In the meantime you still wish to have central heating and hot water? :?

    Backward taps

:? Either this is a wind up or did you change the valve to a ceramic disc quarter turn type? Where was the leak before you repaired it?

    Shower backflows?

Obviously the waste from the shower tray has been connected with your sink and washing machine waste pipe. As there is a restriction within the waste pipe (probably caused from the discharge of the WM more likely) when you have a heavy discharge it backs up into the shower tray. Strong drain...

    Boiler not efficient

The boiler is will not be the problem. Don't always assume the room thermostat is showing the correct temperature. It is dependent on a number of factors. Is it in the right room and place and set at the correct height. Is it effected by drafts or near a radiator. Check the room...

Try 'Checkatrade'. We're on it and you can see feedback from their previous customers. Don't know if you'll get a Jonny Deppe - he may have the same haircut though!

    Moving a boiler

I suggest you get another couple of registered gassafe installers to come round and give you a quote and also check out for the combi option. I think you will be pleasantly surprised at the price compared to British Gas. :)

    shower installation and pipework

I agree if gravity fed shower, then 22mm all the way, then 15mm at the last. Always use inserts - but I don't get John506 quote ' fitted multiple showers' !?!?! Good Luck :)
