    DO I NEED 10 AAVs

I've enjoyed reading this forum, not only because of the possible 10 AAV's that are required (which I doubt), but because of the backtalk by the engineers - here to help you! As a RGI and qualified Plumber I would not expect an installation to be designed and installed to have so many airlock...

    installing a gas fire

You don't necessarily need to dream of what you want. Just get a gas engineer round to give you a 'quote' and advice. We are not all that bad - and perhaps we can give you a better option and price! :)

    new radiators

Without full details of the size of the premises, irrespective of what radiators exist, and what rads are proposed it will be very difficult to give an accurate assessment of the boiler output requirements. If the Plumber is a Registered Heating Engineer, then I would not question his...

New central heating system - where do I start?

Call in 3 separate companies (gas engineers) to give you quote for installation of your central heating and hot water requirements. If you can get recommendations all the better. How about asking the neighbours! :)

    Missing Expansion Pipe?

Combined feed and expansion, but I have come across CH expansion going into the cold water tank! Customer was complaining of discoloured hot water.

need a good quality digital camera...

Just purchased a new Fuji digital SLR, as an upgrade to an older version. Very good cameras for their price. I appreciate other posters on the old SLR's (with film) but you can still use modern SLR camera's the same way. Adapt - I still miss my old camera's, but we all have got to move on. :)

Noisy Glow Worm 30 CXI Combi

Unable to advise without taking the casing off, which should only be done by a 'competent' person, whether it is the fan or the pump. I can only suggest get in a registered gas engineer (independent) as, from experience, you will give a better service. :)

overheat thermostat and cold radiators down the left

Sounds like a slow circulation problem. Possibly pump or sludged up system, but the visiting gas engineer will be able to advise. :)

How to plumb a new sink in the garage

You can make thing complicated if you want, but I cannot see anything wrong with your list. :) Little need to drain the system, as your cutting into the hot and cold pipes which are off the mains - as they are going through the combi. Any little water that is still in the pipes can easily...

    15mm Hot pipes

As it's only going to a basin 15mm will be ok, as the tap connectors are 15mm. Also be aware that if you have isolation valves on the hot and cold pipes, they will further restrict the flow. If you have gravity fed supplies then be aware that some mixer taps are only suitable for high...

    Back boiler problem!

Are the rads downstairs getting warm, even though you have the Central Heating off and the Hot Water on?

Help fitting a pump to boost gravity fed hot water

I'm confused, with what is quite a simple installation :? Stuart & turner are very good pumps, and they always supply installation instructions. Your diagram is wrong in many ways, and fitting a pump correctly, with equal and separate feeds are paramount to a good installation. To be...

New float valve and still overflowing

Is it a combined cold water tank and hot water cylinder? Have you recently changed any taps in the house? And are any of them mixer taps? Answer could be mains backing up hot water pipe back into tank. :)
