    Whats App

My WhatsApp number is the same as my decades old pre smartphone Nokia number. So you might be able to set it up with one of those, assuming you have one? Or maybe borrow a smartphone, put in your mobile SIM, setup WhatsApp, then put everything back

    Smart meter home display question

As far as I know, OctopusWatch gets it's data from Octopus, rather than directly from your meter, so if you splash out the couple of quid or so it costs, you can easily check every couple of days if Octopus are getting readings from your meter. I find it a really useful app myself.

Soundproofing Party Wall & under floor

Reading the original post, the nature of the sounds heard are airborne, rather than structure conducted, so less of a problem than you might think.

Soundproofing Party Wall & under floor

I'm wondering if there might be a misunderstanding here about the direction the sound is travelling. Is it that the sound is coming sideways from rooms in the house next door?

    Kitchen lighting ideas?

If you have wall cupboards above work surfaces, then LED strips under the cupboards at the front, work really well in our kitchen. We've also run LED strips around the wall-ceiling meeting place to replace downlighters, which replaces the fluorescent strips really well.
