Immersion hot water not lasting long enough!

I would suggest don't ask Google - ask Octopus, in writing (email for example). If the period of cheap rate night time is longer than the period the immersion comes on, and you haven't enough hot water, then I'd suggest -match the hot water timer to your cheap rate tariff timer -Check/raise...

Immersion hot water not lasting long enough!

You want to set the times to be the times when you want them to be putting out heat. ...bearing in mind that it takes a while (maybe half an hour or an hour) for the space to heat up/cool down. Usually you'd want heating at different times in different rooms. Do you have any instructions for...

It looks like high usage 1am till 5:30am I think? When does the night rate run from and to?

Immersion hot water not lasting long enough!

It looks to me like the storage heaters are set to output heat 6:30am to 9am, and 3pm to 11pm (can someone double check those screenshots?) - is that when you actually want them to be outputting heat? (If not then it would be good to change those times)

Immersion hot water not lasting long enough!

You might want to double check that the time of high usage is the same as the time of the night rate

So you are on day/night tariff - which is as it should be, and it looks like it's using power during the night when it's cheaper, as it should be.

...unless setting the thermostats higher effectively shifts electricity use into a lower rate time of day, by reducing the need to boost at high rate times.

Looking at the Octopus readings, it looks like you're on a fixed tariff, rather than a time of use tariff like economy 7. If that is the case, then a change of tariff will help, especially if you have storage heaters. You'd then just set the water heater and the storage heater timers to come on...

    Internal or external wall insulation?

EWI keeps the thermal mass on the inside, which will slow down temperature changes - it'll heat up more slowly, and cool down more slowly.

Removing old wax and dirt from oiled floor (not by sanding)... what machine?

...not an answer to your question, but in terms of not having to strip it back every year, have you considered a hard wax oil like Osmo?

Immersion hot water not lasting long enough!

As a couple of other posters have suggested, your starting point for more cheap hot water is: " Harry suggests, under the black covers of each of the elements (!!! isolate the mains before opening !!!) will be a thermostat that could be set a tad higher for hotter water (which then presents an...

sowing grass seeds/laying turf on an existing lawn.

What's the problem with the lawn? Guessing from what you've written (pics would be helpful), I'd suggest mow it quite short, sow some grass seed (CHECK IT'S NOT TOO OLD as some DIY places sell grass seed which has had its day). and maybe brush a little topsoil/compost over the top. Depending on...

Immersion hot water not lasting long enough!

Just for clarity, any immersion heater is pretty much 100% efficient - it converts electricity into heat.

NEIGHBOUR CUTTING MY HEDGE WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE

Generally speaking, removing a well established 6' hedge which has been cut down to 3', and replacing it with an 'instant' 6' hedge will leave you with a hedge which is more likely to die, will be less vigorous and less drought resistant, to say nothing of the disruption...
