    You will be changing the whole thing and the tail that screws into the rad will be1/2 inch BSP and the same as in your pic. To remove the existing tail you might need a hexagon rad spanner or insert a wide chisel/screwdriver and undo using grips.

    They will be 1/2 inch washers.There are two types,flat and domed.Most are flat. Remove the flat cap on the top and you will find a screw underneath.After that you will need a spanner.

    I would change the o ring but also if you take the blue and red covers off on the end of the valve,then take out white ceramic bits you will then see two X shaped ceramic pieces.Remember how it all came apart and replace the X pieces.They are on ebay for a couple of ££££s.     Sometimes you can get to the valve without taking the heads off. Open both taps fully,unscrew shroud and you should see the nut that you need to undo. A thin spanner might get in there ?

    I would just change the tap washers first.An easy job if you have a few spanners or wrench. 3/4 inch bath tap washers.
