It turns off the fan, but switching it back on allows the fan to resume it's cycle.

I've got the extractor timers working by switching off the power at the consumer unit before moving the jumper to different pins. I had only switched off using the isolator switch before. I've no idea why this would make a difference but it has.

Private seller I think. Bought 2 of these. I read in a related thread that the type of lighting can affect the timer, but I didn't understand the very technical explanation.

That trap comes in 2 sizes. 10/2" and 10/4". Which do I need?

The reason I want to remove it is the gunk is between the glass and aluminium frame. Sorry if I'm stating the obvious. I don't know how I can clean it in situ.

I'm confident I can do that. Just two remaining questions: 1. Why not Toolstation? 2. What's the difference between these two trap types?

Would there be any benefit from really shortening A, B and C as much as possible, before connecting the new trap to C, then using one of these flexible connectors between the trap and D?

The bit of the suggested reconfiguration I'm still unsure about is how to shorten A, B and C and still be able to connect F to D.
