Boiler slingers?

I've always known the connection to be for a vent and the description on your link concurs. I have also used them to connect other drains though... Basin, condense etc.

When you replace it, make sure you put the NRV part of the loop on the mains feed... Forget the way it comes made up. Then it's easier to drain in future.

How many rads? How old is the system? Is it 15mm throughout even right near to boiler?

How have they filled in the benchmark commissioning page? What did they put where it asks about radiators/system being properly balanced?

Incoming Flow rate and delta T of boiler first (usually 35° rise from cold main temp). Then measure flow rate at a hot tap. If it's not performing as per MI's then look for crossover.

As in failed relay?

Combis are mainly for one outlet at a time. Some will do 2 but the drop in flow rate is noticeable.

Best bet for you would be to call hive technical. Don't bother with Viessmann technical... They're not very customer centric IYKWIM.

If you want to go whole hog... Uplift the boards and extend the soil pipe to where it needs to be.

Apart from gas, I don't think there's any rule about inaccessible mechanical joints. Just best practice really, which nobody seems to follow at install... And when encountering a failure in a void, all one can do is replace with another mechanical fitting!

I read that as concerned. And if so, either mention it to the neighbour (at risk of being told to effoff or send it to gas safe as they're the only ones who can really do something about it... If they choose to!

For me... If I have to... I'd rather avoid compression onto plastic, so I'd use a pushfit coupler.

Report it to gas safe if you're concerned. Don't ask on a plumbing forum.
