    New wooden door swelling...

I built many garden gates in my life always in summer and sealed them properly. 12 mm gap on sides and top, 25mm bottom. In winter the gap on the lock side is reduced to 5mm. Keep that in mind.

    Happy Easter everyone

Well done to the Muslims. Start distributing the medals. Then one day you'll be good enough to explain how anyone could count church attendees number. I've never seen anyone counting heads in any church in the world.

    Happy Easter everyone

Correct. The Bible was written for people of gone days, in order for them to get a moral out of it. People taking the bible literally don't understand Christianity. Where do you get this rubbish from? Do you have statistics? Have you ever been to a church on Easter Sunday?

    Car revs question

I was always told that running a car at low revs for years is not good for the engine. Engines are designed to go up in revs. Not constantly of course, but a blast near the red line sometimes, doesn't do any harm, in fact it helps. I used my sister's fiat Punto last summer. Slow and without any...

    Rat problem.

Do not ignore this problem. When rats have a constant food supply, they nest close and multiply very quickly, invading all surrounding areas. Then in winter they'll go in the closest warm and dry place: your house. Must get rid of them. As this seems to be the beginning, stopping the feeding...

What have you been doing today?

Been swearing all day because a scammer of a shop owner from Italy sent me a used transmission for my bike, perfectly washed and packaged in a new box. The mother fecker thought I wasn't gonna realise! He said to send it back for an exchange and more swearing came out. Blown all my schedule to...

Can anyone tell me if this is usual finishing to Fascia/soffit/guttering replacement

Usually the report would have a cost which is then taken off the final bill if and when you employ them to do the work. That's what I've always done.

    Imigrants wishing to stay.

I am sure. Anonymous tip offs are taken with a pinch of salt but not ignored. Non anonymous tip offs are thoroughly investigated. Immigration don't have time and resources to waste on random raids, that's why they do back office investigations first. I know people in immigration, so the above...

    Imigrants wishing to stay.

Happens all the time everywhere. Immigration will do checks before raiding a place and identify red flags. If you run a 500 seat restaurant with 2 staff, most likely you have more staff.

You will get wasps nesting in there, entering through the large gaps.
