Vaillant boiler not giving any heating

Have you checked the obvious? Did you turn the thermostat up?

Aqualisa shower leaking at hose connection

Looks like the hose is screwed right up to outlet so it probably isn't compressing the washer and sealing properly. Try adding a second washer.

Toilet and sink waste pipe connection issue

Are you just trying to push them on? Remove the nuts and the seals and put them onto the pipe first, then offer up the fitting and screw up the nuts. You may have pushed the rubber seals into the fittings and they may need need prising out with a screwdriver.

    Fitting Tee in Existing Pipework

If you have clear pipe protruding past the olive on each side, you should be ok. Just make sure the fitting stays square with the pipe as its tightened. The other way to do it would be to solder in a slip coupling along the pipe but if you're going that route you may as well solder in a T.

Crosswater shower head leaking from top joint

Same advice. Buy a new shower head.

    Bathtub sealant

I find the neutral curing Dow Corning 785N easier to work with and much less smelly. You can buy adjustable nozzles for getting into awkward spaces but for a really good finish its best to get the tap out of the way.

    Shower issue

There may be a small plastic disc covering the grub screw hole. Maybe with red and blue colours.

    Shower issue

There should be an allen grub screw holding the handle on. Under the handle, the cartridge should be held in by a locking nut. Tightening the locking nut may just tighten the cartridge mechanism enough so that it doesn't close under gravity.

Help needed to fix a leaky kitchen tap

Strap wrench will probably slip. Wrap the shroud with a few wraps of insulation tape to protect it (at least 10 turns) and then use pump pliers.

    Toilet flush button

Have a look here and see if you can identify your flush button. You will probably have to buy the whole thing rather than just the pushrod. https://www.toiletspares.co.uk/mechanical-buttons.html

    Toilet flush button

It may have unscrewed itself and be lying in the bottom cistern.

    Aqualisa showers and Expansion tank

The problem you have is that water is supplied to the hot water cylinder from a small header tank with a very small capacity. If you put a pump in the system, you will rapidly drain the cold water tank and the hot water will stop flowing. This will result in a cold shower and probably a...

    Aqualisa showers and Expansion tank

Keep hold of the shower though. If you end up with a mains pressure system (combi or unvented) you can use the shower. They are over £700 new so well worth hanging on to.

    Freestanding bath install cost

Haven't fitted many but those I have came from places like Bathstore, Victorian Plumbing and the like. Nothing fitted, supplied components incompatible, bits missing etc etc. Yes it ended up costing more.

    Radiator down pipe cover

Its 15mm pipe. Paint the pipe, fit covers or leave it alone. Whatever the OP chooses to do, this is not a safety issue to worry about where children are concerned. If you have a kid who touches everything and puts stuff in their mouth, they are going to be exposed to much more dangerous stuff...

    Aqualisa showers and Expansion tank

Looking closer at your pictures, it appears you have a combination cylinder with a small cold water store on top of the hot cylinder. If this is the case, a pumped shower is not an option as you don't have sufficient cold water storage. An electric shower using mains water is really your best...

    Aqualisa showers and Expansion tank

As Madrab says, you have the wrong processor. There is a company that does repairs and reconditions these processors. I know they do an exchange for people changing from a vented to a pressurised system. They will probably do the same for you and exchange yours for a pumped version. Will be a...

    Radiator down pipe cover

Looks like excess solder from when the pipe was extended. It could be leaded solder but on heating pipes it is really nothing to worry about.

Where does the waste trap washer go as it seems too large

As above, replace the trap. Not worth faffing about when a new one costs less than a tenner.

How do I adjust the fill level on my cistern?

Fill valve working correctly. It is height adjustable if you wanted to raise the water level. Below the float assembly there is a small grey clip on the stem which can be removed. The top part can then be rotated slightly and will then move up or down as required. The rim of the float bowl...
