    Maybe, I guess, but I'm surprised that reg is even still on DVLA's computer - there wasn't a lot left of the car when I'd finished with it! It certainly got written-off during the time I had it, (not my fault, I hasten to add)! I then got given another one and nicked all the better bits off...

    It was indeed! And much better than the lower-spec. ones with the single carb, because the flat 4 engine meant the inlet manifold had to be very long. He would have problems with it icing in winter. A carb on each bank was the answer.

    Yes, it was nearly 10 years old when the photo was taken. We were students with no money! But it was way more rotten than my DS (which cost me £75 from a dealer, by the way!) and the DS was a 1971 car, I think - and they had quite a reputation for rust too!

    Sometimes, yes. Lots of problems with the 164 as a result of it being a left-hooker by design. Don't talk to me about clutch master cylinders! ;)

    Some high performance tyres start with less tread on them, because the manufacturer wants to keep any "vagueness" due to tread block distortion to a minimum. My EV is on "ordinary" high performance tyres, rather than EV-specific.
