Water leak on incoming mains from water meter to inside property?

That's my eyesight and trying to type to fast in my mobile mate. No mole. They will inspect the leaking lead pipe. They found the isolator inside. Then pressure test. But they have done several in the same area/streets and they all seem to be in the same place and it's normally just a...

I have not checked to see what pipe is coming out of meter as u say it's full of debris. The leak is definitely my problem/side and near the house external wall. I have access to a large sds/pick/mattock etc. It's just the actual time to do it t tbh. I've asked a several local plumbers and...

Water leak on incoming mains from water meter to inside property?

@pete01. I bet that's the original leak detective. With his duck and teleportation. No problem digging it up as it's only a short distance but if it's rotten steel or whatever they used to use then is a repair with it? I'd love to take it back to the meter and replace it all the tbh but...

New 1700mm bath? Plus waste/overflow? These ok??

So it's just a brand name. They seem to have sold a lot of them and hardly any bad FB except for there where no holees for a 'tap'. Going to order it. Another question. I want to put a seal from wall that goes onto bath. Seen them but never fitted one. Bath will be batten supported and...

New 1700mm bath? Plus waste/overflow? These ok??

So what is this Lucite Acrylic? 'Not all acrylic baths are made the same! One way that inferior baths cut costs is to use lower grade acrylic. - Rest assured that this bath is made with the very best - Genuine Lucite acrylic. - A beautiful surface texture that feels comfortable against the...

New 1700mm bath? Plus waste/overflow? These ok??

How do I know the McAlpine waste overflow hole fits the bath listed? I have read with a decent bath and one of the best McAlpine wastes/overflows silicone is not needed. But in every video they ditch the thin white foam 'seal' and use silicone?? Cheers mate.

New 1700mm bath? Plus waste/overflow? These ok??

Hi all. Fitting a new bath as old one is dirty/grubby and has chipped corner. I've looked at ones in BQ/Wickes and Selco and was shocked by the quality of them!!! Very thing and the waste holes were awful! You would need a tube of silicone and hope for a decent seal! They are nothing like...

    Filling loop passing slightly?

But the NRV has a built in isolator that is knackered so it has to come off anyway. Looks likes it's already on the feed side but needs replacing. I presume it will have an arrow on it? Not sure which way it should fave but I know it's there to stop CH water back feeding into the into the...

Connecting 10mm copper to 10mm speedfit?

I think it depends on the quality of the 10mm pipe tbh. If it's dented/marked then surely a compression would be better? That's just my thinking. It is easily accessible. I'm just converting two 10mm rad connections that are constantly getting hit when hoovering and cleaning. It's endless...
