things Trump would rather talk about than Jeffrey Epstein

The Cuban Revolution was caused by widespread political corruption, economic inequality, U.S. influence, and social unrest under Fulgencio Batista’s dictatorship. Political The Cuban Revolution was largely fueled by Batista’s authoritarian rule, which began with his 1952 coup that overthrew a...

things Trump would rather talk about than Jeffrey Epstein

Marco Rubio, decent bloke by most accounts. But as I said, I'd like to see more background on what's led up to this. US sanctions, Russian and Venezuelan support. When did the sanctions begin?, people have been fleeing Cuba since the 60's, why? I'll try and do some reading up on it when...

things Trump would rather talk about than Jeffrey Epstein

I'd be interested to know how bad things really are in Cuba. I read last week that 1 million people have fled Cuba since 2021, 3/4 of them to the US, mainly Southern Florida. Cuba have rejected offers of aid from the US but I'm not seeing much background to any stories.

What have you been doing today?

'Keep going back'. My wife's been sober now for over 30 years (possibly 34 or thereabouts). The first year was probably the biggest hurdle.

House price gravy train may have hit the buffers

My mum went mad when she found out I'd paid five quid for my first pair of Levi's (I think that's how much they were), she couldn't get her head around the fact that I could have had 10 pairs from Tesco for that price.

In fairness they didn't have anything to give us except love, or in my case, a thick ear.

House price gravy train may have hit the buffers

Our first foray into house ownership was 1978. I can honestly say I didn't know anyone who could have done it on a single income and most of us weren't 'average schmos'. Having said that, I'm refencing the Greater London area, I could probably have bought 3 houses in Cornwall or two in...

You're the only one using the word 'indiscriminate'. It was a strike on Hezbollah in response to a strike on Israel by Hezbollah.

It's not a war crime, they were targeting Hezbollah in response to an attack by Hezbollah on Israel. Even the BBC article you link to doesn't attempt to describe it as a war crime.
