    It’s not a myth as such. The heating source has to be able to supply enough kWh to heat the property. And air source heat pumps are mainly less than 8kw.

    That’s the issue with air source heat pumps. I’m still not sold on air to air to warm a large house though. But I can see that are moving in the right direction. It would be interesting to know how long your cylinder takes to warm from cold, just using your air to air

    There’s more to it than that. I’ve nothing against them, they just won’t fit or work properly in most of the Uk’s housing stock.
