Adding external light to electric garage door opener

Ok guys, I tested the connections again very carefully and results as follows Left terminal - Negative Middle terminal - Constantly 12v, regardless of motor operation Right terminal - Constantly 12v, regardless of motor operation I must have messed up when I first tested the middle terminal...

Adding external light to electric garage door opener

SFK, please don't apologise, I genuinely appreciate any and all help given so far from yourself and other contributors. I'll do the tests again to make sure I have done these correctly and report the results accordingly. I've bought new cables for my multi-meter as I realised part way through...

    Identify this connector

Well after many futile attempts there's no way I can see the unnecessary numbers on the connector. Is there anywhere I could buy a small pack of mixed sizes that would likely have the one I need?

    Identify this connector

Thanks guys, my photographic skills have always been appalling!! I'll see if I can find any numbers on it if there are so many types out there.

Adding external light to electric garage door opener

Apologies for the delay but only got a chance to do the tests today. Basically the results are as follows: Left and middle terminals on main circuit board give me 12v when door is not opening and when door is opening Left and right terminals are exactly the same, 12v when door is not opening...

Adding external light to electric garage door opener

Ok, update so far. I did the test and basically the relay module operates exactly like you describe above. However, when I wire the module so as to connect it to the main PCB the relay doesn't operate at all although it is still lit up.

WiFi Mesh system - TP Link

Thanks, thats helpful. As a trial I've tried connecting them using the Deco app and it won't do it?

WiFi Mesh system - TP Link

Hi, I have installed a mesh system using the triple pack Deco M4 units. I have the opportunity of two free TP Link AC1750 access point modules. My question is that is there any benefit adding these to my existing mesh system, of course if this is possible to achieve?

Adding external light to electric garage door opener

Ok, connected the relay module to my main circuit board and these are the multimeter readings, I'm very confused as there's no difference! When door not operating: CK and COM = 1 CB and COM = 0.9 When door operating: CK and COM = 1 CB and COM = 0.9

Adding external light to electric garage door opener

Ummmm....I think I have to admit my stupidity, I just bench tested it, the circuit board wasn't connected to the door opener, what a muppet! I'll follow that process this weekend and report back, thanks again.
