    Yes... The syphon is the flush/dump valve. The fill valve is the black one with the float arm ;)

    Stainless or brass screws. And plastic washers... I use pipe clips.

    No sealant (although Plumber's mait is sometimes necessary) but try and match the existing donut as there are quite a few varieties.

    So, other than a Repipe, what else could the plumber have done? Only thing you can use on installed steel are male or female irons to act as transition couplings and then plastic or copper.

    Cleaner works via circulation so yes you need to put the heating on. It is what it is. Depending on the condition of the dumped system water, you could just use the filling loop to flush through each rad (I think you said it's a sealed system). You'll need to bleed all rads when refilling...

    That's what they're for so yes. You might even get away with using your existing nuts and olives... Saves trying to remove them.
