Water leak on incoming mains from water meter to inside property?

Bit confusing that post! So, you're getting them to mole a new main in, in mdpe? Or are they digging a trench? I'm a Gas Safe plumber, heating engineer and drainage guy by the way, so I know what's what :)

Does the room ever feel very cold or generally comfortable?

Radiator replacement - should we go for higher BTU than needed?

Most custards don't! And is why it's standard practice to add 20% when supplying... But that is like forbidden fruit, nowadays, when customers think they can save a few quid by ordering stuff online! Trouble is... The online suppliers don't have a clue what they're selling and don't care!

    The TRV fell off

The only reason that you set them to high/max/5 before removal and replacement is that it moves the internal plunger further away from the pin in the body which is/should be spring loaded... Thus you're not pushing against resistance as you try to refit the head. Do tap the pin gently before...

Radiator replacement - should we go for higher BTU than needed?

    The TRV fell off

If the rads all get hot throughout then no need for a powerflush. However... A drain down and running cleaner through the system for a week, then draining again is always good maintenance. PowerFlushing mini bore would not be fun.

    Underfloor heating problem.

New boiler as well so potentially flow and return was reversed there during install! Edit: for both manifolds not to be working, having worked previously before for many years, the problem lies upstream and what has changed recently! The boiler! Would be my first port of call. What model boiler...

Why is there a batten behind my cistern?

I'd go with the batten across to studs. But may also be to bring cistern out to line up with soil as mentioned above... Depends on age and type of property.
