Best way to go if doing LVT is get an asphalt subfloor at 20mm thickness. Then you get a smoothing compound then LVT

Other choice is go carpet with a rubber crumb underlay.

No Dpm under the sub floor in most cases. Sometimes old thin visqueen which has perished. Really needs a Dpm sandwich Ardex na Ardex DPM1c Ardex na

Waste of money so don’t buy it. You won’t have any sign of damp as a carpet been above it so it’s been breathing. Is the floor black or clean concrete. Are the skirting on ? Imo it needs a Dpm at that age property if it’s a ground floor.

Could go 6mm sp101 plywood and glue it down.
