    You have four rectangles: the same as your old switches; just copy the wiring. Don't mix them up.

    It's a type of switch necessary when a light is operated by more than two switches. It switches from parallel connections to across connections as in the different diagrams on the switches.

    As it is drawn, presumably the unknown destination is the switch and it is a switch cable. I don't think you are using the word terminal correctly but - yes. Run a cable from the switch to a new switch and then the lights. So what? Ok. You will have to use the switch with the electric supply.

    You are more or less correct. An accessory only creates a 'safe zone' for cables connected to it.
