It’s 2025……spec me a boiling water tap please

My sister has one, she uses it every time she wants boiling water, she doesn't own a kettle. I've no idea if it's been serviced but she has had it for several years.

    Cameras with lights

I've used the Eufy S100. From a distance it looks like a light. Close up it says Eufy Security on the bottom light and the camera is plain to see. I haven't used any other camera/light combination. It depends what you mean by discreet, normally it should be made obvious to people that they are...

New Henry Hoover stuck on high speed

I thought that the 2 speed version had been banned under EU energy saving twaddle?

How would you board this section of loft?

Sorry, I missed that bit. I can't help then as all loft flooring I have installed has always added load onto the ceiling joists (and never caused them to deflect by any detectable amount).

    Diamond Core drill

Followed the link to look at the reviews but there are no reviews showing for that product. Have they been deleted or is it just for me?

    Scott Lawn Spreader Lubrication

If it is the model with a steel axle then it should be stripped, cleaned and lubricated after every use according to the manufacturers instructions. Lots of the chemicals which are applied to lawns cause the steel axle to rust and fail. They are not difficult to get back together after being...

    Reliable outdoor wall light

It is possible to have smart bulbs fade out gradually rather than switching off instantly if this is a problem.

How much for this electrical work is reasonable?

Neither would I but there is no mention of fitting an isolator anywhere in the OP's list of jobs. It looks like this might be one of those jobs that keeps on growing.

    Pebbles Vs gravel

Gravel tends to contain broken up bits of stone with sharp edges. Pebbles are smooth.

How to remove the aereator/filter on a kitchen mixer tap

If it has come off before it should come off again. These threads get seized up with lime scale if they are not removed every few months. There is evidence of limescale on the end of the spout. Can you rig something up to soak the end of the tap in limescale remover overnight and then try again?

How much for this electrical work is reasonable?

Without seeing the job, just from your description, I would have estimated one full day. Its unlikely that the job could be completed in half a day to allow the other half of the day to be paid for by another job. Its certainly more than a "Pop in for an hour on the way past" job. Edit to add...

    Architrave next to wall

You can use a jigsaw if the line is very wiggly or a hand saw if the line is fairly straight.

    Architrave next to wall

When its fixed in a vertical position touching the wall in one place I would expect it to be overlapping the frame by the same amount all the way up the frame (looking at the back of the architrave). You need to remove this amount plus 6mm if you are having the edge of the architrave 6mm from...

Install single and dual smart switches

You don't have a neutral wire at that switch position. Your smart switch requires a Neutral connection so it can't be fitted there.

    Architrave next to wall

Start again and scribe it to the wall. Temporarily fix the architrave to the frame in a vertical position which just touches the wall in one place. Measure the amount that you need to remove to get the edge of the architrave to sit in the correct position relative to the edge of the frame. Mark...

    Secured by Design window restrictor

I don't know how much it can resist forced entry with a few screws fixed into a uPVC window frame. It's also too bulky for my taste.
