Ongoing issue with air in system

It’s new build ‘style’ but about 30 years so the pipes will be that age. The boiler is about 10 yrs old and that’s never been an issue

Ongoing issue with air in system

I asked them that but they didn’t seem to want to do it. Do you mean a powerflush or chemical flush?

Ongoing issue with air in system

So re my previous posts about a lot of air getting into two radiators (conventional boiler) Magnet sticking to part of thin pipe in airing cupboard and no inhibitor ever been added I finally got a company to come out. They didn’t think this would be causing the air as there was way too much air...

Following advice on here I have put magnets against some pipes and they...

    Converting from Conventional to Combi

Two question: We have a conventional system with tanks in the loft. The bathroom toilet flushes with water from the cold water tank in loft. What would happen if we convert to a sealed system? How would water get in the toilet? We currently get a lot of air in our radiators daily which I...

Converting to Combi or start again

Problems with a lot of air getting into system, (bleeding radiators every week) sludge, overflow leaks. No plumbers/engineers have been able to fix over many years. Thinking of converting to combi and redoing bathrooms at same time. Would all the floors need lifting in living room...

    Dry Wall Nail Pops

Hi our walls have dry nail pops but also look like the walks were skimmed very thinly. One wall even looks like it has a slight bend in it. Would a plasterer sort all this out?

Want new bathrooms but central heating issues

I know there is sludge in some areas but hopefully those pipes would be removed as I’m sure they’re only in the loft

Want new bathrooms but central heating issues

Hi I want to replace three toilets/bathrooms. We have conventional heating with tank in loft. Shower pressure is terrible. Considering changing to combi but two of our radiators keep getting air in. No sign of leaks. Noone seems able to cure this permanently. Don’t know what to do first...
