Hello All Existing drive is hard standing of some kind and I'm guessing its not permeable (?) - built it the 1970s and most people would call it a "concrete" drive. If I want to put in a new drive that replaces that with other non-permeable material and possibly also want to increase the size...

You can often get it from comparing with the EPC records. I guess we could ask FMT how he go it.

This thread seems to be awakened every few years probably because to those that work with this boiler its pretty useful. Nobody from a position of knowledge has commented on the "thermistor crunch" except a few that say "it worked". Maybe there are so few of these boilers around now (?) its not...

At risk of being hammered by those in the secret board, you could do what I did and have two boilers running side by side (not at the same time and valved off) so that when the new one breaks in the middle of winter, you don't have to wait a week or more to get it fixed.
