    I think it is probably usual just to have wall plate on internal leaf because that is what you would have to do for a pitched roof.

    Yes I would have thought you would have been able to screw one of them to the edge of the facia boards after painting. You may need to mastic the edge next to the wall to form a seal but could be ok just butted up to the render

    The isolator does not contribute to any load on the circuit. The load is applied TO the isolator only when the shower is running. Once the shower is switched off the load is removed from the circuit and therefore the isolator as well.
