There are some sick people in this country.

Did you mean to paste this in, or were you doing some sort of therapy homework at the same time and pasted it by accident?

There are some sick people in this country.

I would. Some would be much safer and happier in a big old country house inside a huge fence with a team of people looking after them. "Care in the Community" was just money-saving wrapped up in a kind-sounding disguise.

Aye, we need to unshackle the economy and make the country successful again, then we could start thinking about how to make life lovelier for everyone. Get rid of net zero, cut benefits, cut taxes, make it worth working and running businesses and not worth sitting around claiming benefits...

Still got the hots for Carol? You'd be treading a very well worn path.

A head-on fatal collision between two trains in mid Wales could have been avoided, an investigation has found.

Perhaps some longer waiting distances then in case it happens again, I'm sure they could come up with a more constructive answer than telling the drivers to lob sand out of the window or whatever.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c4gy72kmg1mo Sir Keir congratulated Burnham and claimed recent by-election results suggest the "tide is turning on Reform", telling broadcasters: "They've reached probably the peak of their support, it's going down." More Starmer lies. Reform got a higher...

Reform got an increase in vote share from the last election, despite the appearance of Restore. They did well.

    Makerfield doubts

Do you really think that this is a great comeback for Labour? It was a freak event, created by the bizarre situation where voting for the ruling party will remove the hated current PM.

    Makerfield doubts

Were there any Makerfield opinion polls? I didn't see any, and wouldn't expect any in a one-off by-election.

Wasn't that while Sir Kier was having his curry and beer party that we've all had deleted from our minds?

No need, there will be a re-vote in 3 years after we all get to see how he does. I'm betting on substantially less than 55%.

    Makerfield doubts

I don't think I saw any actual polling for Makerfield. Just on-street discussions with random people. The bookies all seemed to agree that Burnham would win, easily. So I'm not sure if anything was amiss.

Utter rubbish. You don't understand the basic concept. A 1 year trend of a 5 year bond is valid, as is a 10 year trend of a 2 year bond. Or any other random combination. I picked the trend of the 10-year bond over the last 5 years as it includes the Truss spike plus gives good detail for...

    Makerfield doubts

Perhaps they wanted to motivate the lefites to get out and vote. It was a very weird election though. Many who voted Burnham hate the Labour party, bizarrely they were voting Labour to get rid of the current Labour PM (Starmer). So this may explain the difference between the feelings of those...

I don't think Reform will need a coalition. The Tory voters in Makerfield all switched to Reform. The May elections proved that Reform are now more credible than the Tories. A vote for Tory is now seen as a wasted vote.

Illegal immigration being OK is definitely a left-wing view. The tories became a left-wing party when Cameron took over, which created the void for Farage to jump into. Some on here bang on about Reform being just a Tory party, like that's a bad thing. The country's desparate to get the old...

Aye, the EU pretty much kicked us out. We asked for reasonable changes, they said go away.
