If you're OK with the finish, you could use the cut-offs, filled with mortar to make them level and flush finish with the others. The overall height of the wall will be only 300mm. No big deal.

Just your speculative opinion then? He's got 4¾ years to do that. Normally concerns like that don't materialise until the last 6 months of a Parliament. Additionally, he has the authority to call a snap election when he think he has the best chance of winning it.

But it might illustrate that he has principles. Who would you prefer, an honest person with the wrong opinions, or a corrupt person in a position of power?
