    Options for weed/plant/everything removal.

This is what is technically known as 'cobblers'. Companies spent billions and may years to produce herbicides that don't work? Really? People used herbicides for decades before glyphosate, none of which that worked? Really? So no chemical works, but the chemical sodium chloride works. Sorry...

    Options for weed/plant/everything removal.

For domestic use, basically the only general weedkiller you can get is glyphosate. It used to be under patent and so expensive. The patent has now expired but if you buy a brand name (Resolva is one I have seen in a recent post) you are paying a premium just for the name. You can buy unbranded...

    Cordless drill chuck lock

Indeed and his 'logic' is pretty questionable. Measure from RH end to arbitrary point then add measurement from LH end to arbitrary point - good. Measure from LH end to RH end then add size from value on the back of the tape measure - bad.

Metal Garden Gate & Post - correct screws to use

I would expect a metal gate and a metal post to be connected with bolts rather than screws. Some photos would help, including the overall gate assembly, the existing holes and the screws you are using.

Ideas on bedding plants or shrubs?

That is sort of true and sort of not. By 'house manure' I take it that you mean horse manure. My understanding is that when fresh this is quite odorous and you only want it if you have a big garden, and can put it far away from the house to rot down. Garden centres won't sell that, your best...

    Unknown rear garden hedge responsibility

And they would be wrong, at least about it being carcinogenic. Of course it is hazardous/toxic if you do something stupid like drink it, in normal use not so much. Glyphosate, under various names, has been in use in for decades and has been used by many millions of people. All the studies that...

    Unknown rear garden hedge responsibility

Indeed there are. I wrote a bit about this here. Well I don't think that was good advice. Doing that (or using old sump oil as wood preservative) has been an offence for decades. You are in effect dumping a hazardous / toxic substance on the ground where it can affect wildlife, other peoples'...

Does round up work on moss on tarmac?

I had never heard of Wet & Forget until John mentioned it. What I have used it is Patio Magic, it (and Wet & Forget, probably others) are c. 7-8% benzalkonium chloride that you dilute down to 1-2% and apply by spray / watering can. Once the moss is dead, it will turn brown & shrink but will...

    I accidentally superglued my tongue

When I had a crown fitted I asked my dentist how it was held in place and he said, "Glue". He went on say that his colleagues would call it 'dental cement' but it is glue.

Mould growing under bay window and area around it.

A slabbed (tiled) area can also bridge the DPC. Can you see the DPC? It should be c. 2 bricks above the ground level.

    surface rust

Except you didn't actually say that. You said "Yes it does add up that the charger could be using 3 amps to deliver 2 amps to the battery, making it 66% efficient" which you maybe meant as agreement but is actually just a comment on the machine. Remember on the 'net there is no tone of voice or...

Oh yes it was. If you pose a question then you are inviting anyone to answer it. Posting often does not make him incapable of being wrong / being unclear. That is obviously not true. If it was I would not have read it that way. You probably meant that you did not take it that way, which is a...

    surface rust

@Munroast You asked what the two scales are and I answered that. I didn't design or make the machine so why you are moaning to me about what it shows is pretty stupid. All that you, and Harry, are doing is making it less likely that I will offer any help / advice in future.

Maybe the input is superfluous but the DC output tells you how close to charged the battery is. If it is still showing a full current then the battery really needs to stay on charge, if it has dropped a lot you may well have, say, an 80% charge which is probably okay.

Yes. Doesn't the load go down when the battery is nearly charged? If so this will show that.

Surely the two scales are just the AC input and the DC output. Because AC varies sinusoidally half the readings are negative, hence if you take the mean of the value you always get zero. So instead you square all the values (which makes all the negative values positive), take the mean then take...

    Which water butt?

If you go to https://getcomposting.com/ and enter your post code you may be able to save some money. Not masses but maybe £10/item. Some councils subsidise the cost of some of these, hence the need for the post code. Irritatingly, IMO, that site only shows the products that your council are...

My butt has a crack and it's leaking ......

Interesting, I thought the exact opposite about a crack near the base, that the increased pressure there would hold the plastic 'patch' on. I used a patch (from a milk carton) that was quite a bit bigger than the crack and then sealed the edges with silicon sealant. That was a long time ago...

    fed up with hozelok

Are you sure the ones you have problems with are actually Hozelock? I had mislaid both hose nozzles so I bought two reasonably priced (not the cheapest) ones online, from different suppliers. Neither one was that good, one would not even turn. When I forced it I heard a crack and some bits of...
