Would a car radiator fan work better if it didnt blow the hot air back on the engine?

Thanks, my thought was that at the moment the air is pulled through the radiator, but that hot air is going onto the engine. Surely that's not going to cool the engine as much as having something diverting that hot air downwards? Part of the problem seems to be that the coolant is getting too...

Would a car radiator fan work better if it didnt blow the hot air back on the engine?

My car is over heating at the moment that's why I ask, I thought it might save me a few bob rather than taking it to the garage. Maybe I'll just take the bonnet off.

Would it be more efficient if the air blown through the radiator was diverted away from the engine? Possibly downwards?

How can I open a stuck upvc window?

You can move the handle but it doesn't unlock, the handle is turning the square. It must be the gearbox or part of the locking mechanism at fault I think

How can I open a stuck upvc window?

It's on a slightly damp wall, I am wondering if there's something I can spray in before trying to force it. Would penetrating oil spray of some sort or silicone spray help? Thanks

The screws he used are mostly letting go, I would screw from the plank side into the thicker supports.

Is it worth making or renovating an old gate or should I buy a new one?

Thanks for your help John, it's a gate that a neighbour made some time ago, has been propped against the fence for a few years. I could do with cutting the height down to just under 4 foot, I think it's 5 now. The main supporting wood isn't actually joined together. If I renovate it what sort...

Is it worth making or renovating an old gate or should I buy a new one?

I had a look at b and q and the cheapest one that looked any good was around 80 quid. I have an old gate where the wood looks ok, I would need to cut it down, buy some kind of stainless steel screws? Sand and treat it. I don't have loads of time, any ideas what's best please? Also are tee...
