I hardly ever open it but water was pouring in from the top when it was open and it was raining.
I guess because it pivots back there is nowhere else for the water to go, so maybe they just can't be left open when it's raining?

Hi, what's the best please, I have used rust neutraliser, just need some decent paint that will protect it from moisture.
I used some specific radiator paint years ago and it ran like nothing else, looked awful.

Hi, I have had my back boiler disconnected and replaced with a combi which has a flue going through the wall.
I have a bit of damp at the top of the chimney in the loft, I'm wondering if the chimney should be capped now?
If so it it something I can do myself?

Hi, I had a back boiler disconnected and new combi fitted.
At the time the house was tenanted and the plumber advised it was best to leave the old fire cover and boiler in place as it would make a lot of mess to remove it.
I'm wondering if I can remove the fire and buy a radiator cover to go...

I am.planning to usedulux bathroom paint which I find usually doesn't soak in even when thinned with water
Should I seal the plaster first with something?

Hi, I am trying to fit a new radiator but the 15mm compression fittings are not going on the old valve thread.
I'm not sure what to do, I can try to get the old fittings out of the radiator but I can't see that being easy.
Maybe I can just cut the nuts off and use them with new olives?
