Some manufacturers fit their own yes, not sure if these do, I'd have to check, but that'd be just the same as starting anew. I might as well start from scratch, if they've got to come out, measure up, go away and make them, come back and fit them, then where's the actual saving in time or...

It's just an example of one of the things that could go wrong. Would you give someone £1300 to order something that someone else (who you now don't trust) has measured. And I'm no expert window fitter so don't feel confident doing it myself, it's far from a straighforward square window job.

Again, it's open to pitfalls that I think. If the windows come in wrong size for example, due to installer having measured them wrong, I'd have paid for useless windows.

You might want to consider a separate pull cord, sited in a different place in the room, and get a fan with an overrun timer. Then you have the best of convenience, in that you can choose when you might want the fan on, and when you've finished in there, it'll continue to clear the steam away...
