Old 3x2 pressed concrete flags load strength 2 ton ?

Sounds like absolute nonsense tbh. If the base under it doesn't move, it will need a huge weight to crush or damage the paver. Many times I've had a pallet of blocks lifted off a HIAB to about 3m away, with the rear support leg on a small rubber pad, on my paved drive, and no issues at all.

Fridge Making Noise in New Extension

With it being raised in a cabinet, it may be vibrating the while thing. A rubber mat under it may kill the remaining sound. But as others have said, that radiator needs moving! Will make the fridge-freezer work harder, costing more and shortening its life.

Removing adhesive blobs from external wall

Whats the issue with blobs? I thought EWI was fine on a blob each corner. and 2 near the middle on 1200x600 boards. Why do you care how any adhesive is removed... presumably the property did, in fact, need EWI?

Space saving stairs vs UK building regs

They want a version of the “facts” that the BC will accept.

    Economy

Oh no, you've been reading marketing spin! All electric heating is 100% efficient (Well, 99.999 anyway). What you have done is replaced heaters suitable for use on cheap electricity tariffs, with ones that are not. So you will be paying more for the electricity to heat the property than you...

Insulating a suspended floor but hit a snag.

Tapering the insulation would force the air to pass more quickly directly under the insulation, which could result in cooling it. Which isn't what you want. Taking a brick out wherever is easy would be preferable IMO.

    Underground drainage

How to properly seal ply hopper

I got a little further searching "balcony outlets", but they all seem to have square outlets, or a couple of round but not to match standard round downpipe sizes. I'd be delighted for any links, as I'm drawing a blank!

How to properly seal ply hopper

I’ve found loads with square pipe connections, but none with round!

How to properly seal ply hopper

I built a plywood hopper for my EDPM flat roof. I had to modify the outlet location to the side, and fixed the 68mm round pipe with Sticks Like, and then re-resined it, and sealed the bottom again for good luck (Im terrible at fibregalss, so thats why it looks rough). All good so far, but in...

    What type of retaining wall?

Where are you going to position your mixer? Hoofing buckets of concrete or mortar up there is going to be exhausting. If you can have the mixer and materials above, on a large sheet of plastic, it will be a bit easier. Whole job requires careful footwork all the time!

    Externally beaded double glazing quandry

My windows from 1997 had foam tape holding them. It took a guy outside up the ladder to catch the glass, and a guy inside putting all his weight on the glass (carefully) to remove the unit. I had no concerns after seeing that.

Makita multitool stalling and burning smell

Thanks, it seems a new one is worth £130ish still. I have found one without box and accessories on eBay for £38, which may be the best course of action, as all the accessories I have are fine. Ill think about it, as I do also have a Bosch 18v one, but this is my preferred one usually.

Makita multitool stalling and burning smell

I didn't notice the heat, although I was wearing gloves. But I was using it for sanding, so no real intense pressure or anything. When it slowed, I did leave it an hour or so to cool - running it with no load didn't occur to me, but I also fear it would have been worse if it was already...

Makita multitool stalling and burning smell

Oh no! What causes this sort of thing to happen? I had been using it for about half an hour without break.... did I kill it or just bad luck?

Makita multitool stalling and burning smell

Hi all, Looking for a bit of help with repairing my Makita TM3000C multitool. I was using it a couple of weeks ago, and it suddenly slowed down. I left it to cool off, but upon trying again it spun very slowly as seen through the casing, and started to make a mild burning smell. My first...

    Quartz splashback

Get them to adjust the top units to make it level and a tighter fit. As none of the units seem to be adjoining full height units, it would be completely unnoticeable (Unless there is something to the right we cannot see, even then they could be lowered a bit and the plinths adjusted if...
