    yea I was thinking of seeing about drilling out a few holes so a screwdriver will fit in, though I'm not sure how tight the bolts are. I'll have a go sometime.. looks a right bugger to get at the ignition switch. AlanE : yes its sticking.. not sure if I can check to see if it was recalled...

    If I change the switch behind the barrel on the micra will the immobilizer still work with the new switch? I am going to take it out and see if its the barrel sticking and seee what needs replacing.

    never done them but informed that the on other models, they can be tight to hammer out. Has been mentioned that to get the new ones in, to gently heat the body of the drum with a hair dryer to expand the hole before fitting the new ones before it cools down. have you looked on youtube?

    Ive just had the same problem with my washer. Ours is connected to the trap under the kitchen sink via a spiggot attachement. took the drain hose off and that was blocked up there.

    Nope, it's inside the hallway about 30 feet away.. and about 4 inches from the MET ironically.. I'll fit the wire to bond the gas if needs be, just checking if I could save the hassle fitting it as the route between the gas pipe and MET is bloody tricky. I'm planning a route now as I type...
