Vailliant sustain 418 heat only problem

OK. Then, imo you can utilise the 3 wire kit, but I've not had the benefit of eyes on your system so... It's all advice at distance! ;)

Vailliant sustain 418 heat only problem

Correct. But the 3 way kit utilises the existing 3 core if there is one between boiler and cylinder... Whereas you'd otherwise need triple.

Vailliant sustain 418 heat only problem

Motorised valves start the pump when m/switch activated and then stop it when released. That's why it's necessary to have a bypass before the MVs.

Vailliant sustain 418 heat only problem

Yes, which can most often be taken from the wiring centre. Granted there are setups where pump is elsewhere, but not often. Other boilers such as Main do not require a permanent live and/or pump overrun as their hex dissipates heat via the fan or just doesn't get too hot. Vaillant have pcb...

Strom Electric Boiler no hot water

I believe the water companies have reduced incoming mains due to the drought in some areas. In certain premises this could be enough to cause issues such as yours.

Vailliant sustain 418 heat only problem

Well I'm a vaillant engineer and I say different. Also, area manager told me about them years ago, they were developed for British Gas to use in this exact situation. Solutions/Kits: Specialized 3-wire installation adapters (such as Vaillant-compatible accessory components like part...

Loosing a lot of hot water. Pressure release valve ????

No probs. As said... Check that EV first... Tap it at the top with your fingernails... Does it ring or sound dull? Then get a tyre pressure gauge on it and be prepared for some heavy work if it needs regenerating... Unless you have an electric pump as it'll need @3bar in it and you'll have to...

Strom Electric Boiler no hot water

That's an overheat code. Reset thermal cut out. Check incoming flow rate... Has it dropped? And is temp set to high on display?

Loosing a lot of hot water. Pressure release valve ????

So, both your tprv and prv combine above the tundish. You need to recreate the fault whilst you are present (as you say... Put immersions on while you're awake). If it starts discharging into the tundish and d2 termination - check if the water is cold or hot. That will tell you which release...

Vailliant sustain 418 heat only problem

I have been to numerous vaillants that have no pump overrun and these heat onlys don't like any heat hanging about in them. Usually easy enough to run a cable to the pump... On the occasions where you can't then a wireless relay can be used and also vaillant do a kit which enables overrun but...

Loosing a lot of hot water. Pressure release valve ????

So, just to confirm... This is a direct cylinder and is electric heating only? No gas boiler and cylinder coil? First thing to check would be expansion vessel... Can't see it in the photo.

Have you had it serviced? Also, it looks like you have a tundish alarm... Has that not been activating?
