Pretty much. I do work for my own customers and for a national insurance company. The criteria of "their" servicing is nowhere near what I'd do for my own customers but the money they pay for a "service" is not enough to warrant the extra work... They pay about a 3rd of what I charge privately.

How can anyone describe the work involved! Each installation is unique. With gas boilers it is much easier to put in almost any unit and range rate it down to match the heat loss of the property. (or not, in most cases). With heat pumps, an accurate heat lost calculation needs to be carried...

Misuse of waste disposal and/or washing machine/dishwasher is the culprit here. Combine that with most modern habits of never filling the sink with clean hot water and letting it go, to flush the waste system. Most blockages I go to are due to very little volume of water flushing the pipework...

For a sink... The supplied foam washer. For a basin.... Plumber's mait every time for me.
