Where does it come from now? The customer, who is also "the taxpayer".

And this is why we're not going to get anywhere substantial in this country. Structural issues don't need sticking plasters. Cross-bench agreements could see ten-year plans being viable but, with the parties being ideologically opposed on so many matters, such agreements are likely to be the...

Thames Water nearing the cliff edge.

Yes. "Ultimately". Who wouldn't buy into UK utilities, when they've been shown that they can take the revenue, pay, bonuses and dividends, neglect the upkeep, then leave the taxpayer to pick up the tab? It's getting a money back guarantee on the lychee of a lottery ticket.

Investment or no investment, it's ultimately always going to be the taxpayer. Coz the private sector knows it can take the profits from the monopoly, run it into the ground, and we'll eventually bail it out. Then it'll be sold off again. Rinse and repeat.

    Come On England

Crazy that 90% of the performers in the second quarter show would be rounded up by ICE, if they were just minding their own business elsewhere.

In your opinion. You say "utter failure". The basics - food, fuel, housing, to name but three - have scarcely been more expensive / unrealistic for the average Joe, yet the neoliberal model just keeps trotting out "we need to do what we're doing, but just harder!" Austerity - the darling of...

    ID cards, are you scared?

Never heard of biometrics, facial recognition, or some such? Implanted chips? And stuff we can't yet even imagine? Everything about you, and everything you rely on will - if it isn't already - be digitised. And accessed via a retina scan, fingerprint, heartbeat signature, whatever. You and...

His one example was @noseall, who has previously posted that he's voted for parties who are not Labour, as well as being not particularly interested in political parties at all. So, when his sole evidence point is patently cobblers............

You said Which is not the same as someone who has voted Labour. Ignoring for a moment your adjusting position - labour vote vs Labour forever - YOU made the claim that there are multiple "vote Labour forever" posters on here. It is on YOU to back that up. Carry on squirming, or give it up.
