Now we've got ivy off, can see the old bitumen is all cracked and you can just peel it up, back to the old original concrete. Freddiemercurystwin, are you saying take the concrete roof off entirely?

Tetrarch, pretty sure it's bitumen on concrete. Photo attached. Currently in middle of pulling off ivy.

Thanks. We're not thinking of patching, will be putting liquid rubber across whole roof. Or do you see this as patching and felting is really the best? Sorry if this is a daft question. No experience with any of this.

Ok, thanks. Difference of opinion now between me and husband, would appreciate views! Husband (who doesn't drive) says: it's an old car, it might just be the display showing its age, it's not interfering with the performance of the car, I can drive with a line running through the P, D, R etc...
