Ha, ha! No, the pressure from the rising main is okay. I've ordered a gauge to check the actual pressure but did a test by filling a 1 litre jug and timing how long it took to fill it. Downstairs took 6 seconds, upstairs took 13 seconds. Bizarre.

I am struggling to remove a downlighter - see photos. I can pull the unit away from the ceiling but I cannot see how to release the retaining clips. The clips seem to have some plastic lugs which are preventing the clips from being pulled clear. I would be grateful for any advice.

Internal conservatory blinds presumably reflect heat back onto the window? If so is there a risk that the double glazing will be damaged by excessive heat? I ask because although external blinds would stop the sun from penetrating but they would be unsightly and very costly.
