@ebee yes understand, but three problems, one:- batteries discharged on tester, two:- no test button on RCD and three:- until opened did not know no connection to earth pin. If it trips with the tester, be it the plug in or RCBO in CU, then why do more?

I have no intension of reassembling it. The white bits seem to also push on the top of relay as well as the contacts, and I am not sure how they interconnect with each other. I can't test it as all sockets are RCD protected so likely the main ones would trip first.
