    I had once issue when wood planks were cupped but that was my fault as I stored them wrongly; standing up against wall. Planks are not getting cupped at warehouse where they are stored horizontally and for long periods of time.

    Why don't OSBs, MDFs or chipboards sheets suffer from cupping? They're weaker and bigger than 220mm planks with similar thicknesses.

    20mm wood planks are stronger than mdf, osb or chipboard sheets. They do wide planks 200mm engineered wood which must be working; can't see why 20mm solid wood won't work.

    I know that but that's single insulation; the grey standard insulated cables aren't class II double isolated. How about the connectors? Wago or bloc connectors aren't class II.

    Say you get class ii ceiling light, you have L & N coming down from the ceiling to be connected to the protected wires of the light, what connector do you use to maintain the double insulation? I doubt wago are suitable? Also L & N wires from the ceiling are not double insulated.
