You’re going to be using the appliances regardless. As long as there’s not unneeded guzzlers such as fan heaters being plugged in or 1hr instant showers that does me. I can see what’s going on day to day from the new smart plan and an alert if there’s excessive usage on a day

I'm not familiar with them but if the ring doorbell in picture has a plug in power supply and a lead to connect to the doorbell ? That would be the best diy option for powered doorbell as no wiring alteration needed

That's the bodge in electrical terms Either or both can trip and not knowing Doesn't mean it doesn't provide added security but you won't find it in any electrical design that im aware of

Its a belt and braces approach having 2 same type rcds in series In electrical terms though it's a bodge . Operate the test button regularly on the rcd and have it tested professionally annually.

That angled drop is terrible workmanship The design of that switch reminds me of Legrand bit that seems unlikely

As said you'll need to get your connections tight. A lot of diy replacements and they're back to it again with it burnt from loose connections And don't twist the strands
