Thoughts on tidying up a garden wiring box

You can connect the earth's to a terminal block take them off the banjo The piranha nut takes away the problem of earth continuity depending on compression against the plastic or use Sunrays suggestion of the compression gland and earthing inside the box Real-world experience with me is it’s...

Instructions, should they be required, what should they say, etc.

It’s nothing new instructions being daft :giggle: Will probably have AI writing them now and that’ll be a big help :giggle:

Instructions, should they be required, what should they say, etc.

They're referring to the circuit protection but it's pretty much irrelevant on a socket circuit all being well

Instructions, should they be required, what should they say, etc.

It's not for being"hard wired" as its supplied with a plug so should be fused at 13 amp

Instructions, should they be required, what should they say, etc.

Presumably that refers to circuit protection ? Not sure why they need to specify anything on a socket circuit

RCD tripping issue (again) - Earth Leakage?

Banjo can go inside and bent slightly to accommodate a nut and bolt . I don’t normally drill a hole for external boxes It’s not a great method used in pictures all the cpcs connected to the banjo rather than a terminal.

Do I need an electrician to replace a hob?

Now that you mention it it’s a truly awful layout the oven under the hob If i recall some kitchen fitters used to put the oven at worktop level which was great and then the microwave on top in of it which was too high altogether I’d always have microwaves stand-alone anyhow they always seemed...

RCD tripping issue (again) - Earth Leakage?

Yes N-E short is an instant trip when circuit energised if a DP switch is not turned off or lights are unplugged L-E load wiring doesn’t trip with single pole pole switch turned off (if im thinking straight after a few drinks) but will trip instantly when turned on

RCD tripping issue (again) - Earth Leakage?

Garden lighting i think my go-to for troubleshooting would be IR tester at 250v rather than clamp testing Usually anything shows up on tester in my experience Also I don’t use strips or multi-way wago for L-N-E . Singles and tape on L.
