    Id remove. Get a single pain cut. Fit Putty up Paint. Stick new lead to glass to make it like a 4 pain window. Why complicate it. DIY person could do that without much difficulty

    Yes a warning light is a fault thrown up on management system which is a mot failer. You don't know if that is a major or minor fault. Maybe that's where the confusion is. Ask garage to look at it first then decide how to proceed.

    It's not lime your painting over. It's distemper. Lime plaster is fine you have the correct paint. Not the distemper though

    No. It won't stick. You needed to wash off the old distemper. Look up the oil-bound distemper data sheet. Whats the advice on that?

    Sand off dispenser is easiest. Bodge a cheap DIY orbital sander on a vacuum with 120 grade disc. Other way is to wash it off but a horrible job. Worst thing is to try and paint over it as that's a problem now. You need to scrape off paint and remove the distemper

    There is silica in the outside of window all the way around that gets saturated eventually so that maybe leaking moisture back inside pain. Water will form inside. Also it's high humidity in the air as car is wet every morning. Physics question I guess

    You can buy repair bitumen ect. Always use the primer if it advises. You can use masking to keep area clean as it can get messy. Just remembered patching isn't always the best nor will it last.

    Insulated plasterboard. Cheaper to buy something's like kingspan and stuck on. Then stick on plasterboard. Use polymer grab like stixall or foam or both as a glue. Layer it to make depth
