For statistical purposes in the United Kingdom, a household is defined as "one person or a group of people who have the accommodation as their only or main residence and for a group, either share at least one meal a day or share the living accommodation, that is, a living room or sitting room"...

Why do that? Don't people realise it makes them look like a lying idiot, rather than just an idiot? Tenant or owner-occupier?

    Protector-Plug Flymo

Or use one of these: Wired correctly to its plug there's no danger of misuse. The test socket would have a flex with no plug, so no danger of inadvertent misuse. That flex could have its N & E cores connected to the N in the test block only as and when required. The test block is actually...

Instructions, should they be required, what should they say, etc.

No it isn't. A G/Y core in a multicore cable is no longer identified by G/Y once oversleeved.

    Interesting Regulation of Yesteryear

Some people seem to be agitated by the change in the permissible voltage range and the change in the nominal value. I really, really, do not understand why.

    Interesting Regulation of Yesteryear

The permissible supply voltage used to range from 225.6 to 254.4. Now it is 216.2 to 253.0. There has to be a nominal value in the range to use for calculations. That nominal value used to be 240, now it is 230. I really, really, do not see what the issue is.

    What to do with this

Was the old flex outlet directly above the FCU? The regs proscribe concealed cables outside of zones. Disconnecting/joining/taping/heat-shrinking/earthing/leaving notes - none of that alters them, they are still concealed cables.

Instructions, should they be required, what should they say, etc.

What's wrong? That the presence/absence of the full stop is irrelevant? Or that the regulations allow G/Y in a multicore cable to be oversleeved and used as a live conductor?

    What to do with this

    1) There are no future safety concerns. 2) When asked "Why pss off someone who might want to reuse them? " your reply had nothing to do with safety, it was why not pss off someone who might want to reuse them? Which tells us what sort of person you are, what your attitude to behaving...

    What to do with this

I guess that depends on whether you are a moral, upstanding, person, with concern for others and an innate sense of fairness and good behaviour. Or not.
