    What type of boiler?

Well i have a three storey house and would prefer a boiler that did the job with ease rather than one that just about does the job, money is not a object really well to a certain degree.

    What type of boiler?

Hi all, I have a bit of a dilemma, I am thinking of up dating my old central heating system (30 year old glow worm back boiler).I know for a fact that a combi boiler is out of the question due to poor mains water pressure which gets worse in the winter. Would it be possible just to exchange my...

Citroen Picasso 2.0 Keeps cutting out

Normally its on or around the bulk head, you will probably just have to look around. Its an rectangular relay more likely brown in colour or maybe black. it will have a red locking device on it and all you need to do is pull the red slider and it should disconnect from the relay. The relays are...

Citroen Picasso 2.0 Keeps cutting out

I'm assuming that this is a HDI. If so this could be one of two common problems these suffer from, 1) fuel pump in tank, possibility as you say it is noisy and 2) multi function relay located under the bonnet brown or black in colour.

Rover 25 2.0 TDI Start Up Problem

Hi, it could be a dirty connection on the signal wire on the starter, just remove and clean then replace. Also these 75's suffer from water ingress into the Ecu due to the drain plugs getting bunged up and the bulkhead filling with rain water. You can check this by taking the removable grill off...

Clutch and brakepads on Citroen van....

The judder sounds like a dual mass flywheel failing, if they don't honour that its going to be £800 bill there or there abouts, flywheel is £300 on its own. but if it is and at that milage i would be onto citreon uk asking why.

    VW Polo Timing Chain?

hydraulic tensioner used. Wrong oil and lack of regular oil changes effect the tensioner and causes the chain to slip, more so on the 1.0l 3 cylinder engines. if its any thing like the 1.0l special timing tool needed. but what you are discribing does not sound like timing unless the chain is...

    P0420 / P0430 Error Codes

don't just assume that the cats are U/S, the codes are only a guide. it could just as well be airflow meter (should be change after about 60,000 miles due to unstable readings), coolant temp sender etc. The first scale looks very busy even though the voltage is increasing/decreasing it should be...

Central Locking on an 02 VW Polo

Has the electric windows stopped working as well? If fitted obviously. if so i would say it's a fuse blown, look in the owners manual and it will tell you where and what rate fuse to fit.

    306 s reg

Could be the coolant temperature switch cheep to buy easy to fit but you say water pump, why was this not changed when new timing belt fitted? it is best practice as a new belt will put water pump under great strain.

    High Idle

More than lightly be the idle speed control valve full of soot. just remove the throttle housing and then remove the idle speed control valve and give them both a good clean.refit and all should be good. The control valve may need to be adjusted a little by hand so you may have to remove it a...

Mondeo 2004 TDCI Car wont start, engine mgt light Glow plugs

How did you find out it was the injectors? If they are u/s they will need programming to the vehicle, there are numbers on the side of the injectors which have to be put into the ecu via diagnostic. just out of interest have you checked that the EGR valve is not stuck wide open as this will not...

    Starting problem

If its common rail it might be the fuel pressure switch on the end of the fuel rail. These systems need at least 300 bar of pressure for them to start. i have found that easy start helps but should not be used for long periods of time. You need to get it on the diagnostics computer and find out...
