I would change the bearings, if you have to pull or hammer the drums off i have found a couple of weeks later after putting it all back together and using the car the bearings fail, might be worth it and saveing possible repeat work.

Me thinks its on the near side of the engine, cylindrical thing with a multi plug on it, should be held in with 3 torx bolts.

Clean or replace EGR valve, very common fault on these.

Would'nt think it was missing on all three cylinders as it would not run at all, maybe 1 or 2 missing at a one time,as said above take back to the garage and get them to check as you have paid them your hard earned cash and they sould at least look at it, i mean it could be when the head warms...

Find one of the small pulleys(one with the 15mm nut) and lever with the spanner to release tension on the belt. take a pic of how the belt runs as a pig putting a belt back on with no clue how it goes.

And does the pipe work hold the valve in place or does it fix somehow?

Just wondered if someone could give me some advise please, I want to fit a Exposed shower valve but don't want to chase the pipes into the wall, is it still possible to fit with the plumbing exposed? Many thanks Jim.

You cannot beat a clean and lubrication.

At the rear of the engine bay you will find a valve for the heater. some times there wire comes off and wont let hot water through. but first check coolant level.

i would think about bypassing it myself.

what year is the van, also what does the led do by the interior light? it should go out if the van recognisees the key.

And just make sure the battery light is working on dash as well.

Wouldn't have thought that the earth cable would have caused it unless you have wired the amp wrong. I would check the charge rate with a multi meter and see what you have. You should be getting about 13.8 to about 14.5 volts.

Sounds like the alternator has gone or you have a bad earth cable.try and follow the black lead off the battery and check it has a good connection on the year box.
