    Chinese Diesel Heater

They sell them as 5kw-8kw, but they won't be that. As I understand it they are a copy of the eberspacher d4, which is 4kw. Legally you can run them on red diesel for domestic heating, to get a delivery you would need a tank and 500l minimum order. Some places have red diesel on a pump but often...

    Basin upstand, frost proof?

It'll be fine IMO. I had an old toilet pan and cistern in my garden as a planter for a good few years

rusty old nails from the pallets

I use old metal paint cans (5l) or old steel drums (20l) as bins for all old nails/screws/small steel items. They go in with the general scrap whenever I have a clear out at the scrappies. Last time round it was about £150/tonne - 15p a kilo. So a paint tin full is gonna be about £1. Atleast...

    Brenton bolts

On a pair of doors, one of them will need internal sliding bolts top and bottom. Brenton bolts (padbolts) can't hold a pair of doors shut on their own. I would say a heavy galv hasp and staple is slightly more secure, but you could still cut straight through it with a battery grinder

    Security screws/bolts on tee hinges

A hex head bolt would be exactly the same, the advantage with a roofing bolt is it has a nice wide head, which tends to be quite low profile

    Stihl combi tools attachment

The QC500 is the fast charger! QC330 is the mid speed. The model number relates to the watts, 500w and 330w, I have both.

    Stihl combi tools attachment

The husqvarna battery system has been great for me, the older charger is now past the 5 year mark!

    Stihl combi tools attachment

Keitai I know you said you've had you tools nicked. Don't buy someone else's stolen tools. Save up a few grand and get a selection of professional battery tools, and decent batteries. They are so much better. Cheaper to run, less vibrations, less noise, no petrol vapour in the back of the van...

    Tall Hedge

You can get a finger bar to attach to a chainsaw to turn it into a rough hedge cutter, the gap is only 1" though. More suited to experienced users. Granberg clip n trim https://www.granberg.com/product/g116b-clip-n-trim-16/

    Security screws/bolts on tee hinges

Forgot to say I find it easier to screw the hinges on first, then when you're happy with how it hangs remove 1 screw at a time and swap with the bolt

    Security screws/bolts on tee hinges

Don't overthink it, you're just bolting the hinges on. I've got some with coach bolts, some with roofing bolts. You don't need to have bolts in all the screw holes. If somebody wants to break in they could cut the (heavy duty) hinges in seconds with a battery grinder, or cut through the wood

    Tall Hedge

If you had machinery access to either side, a flail would do that in minutes! Doing it by hand it's going to be a slow fiddly job

    Security screws/bolts on tee hinges

Roofing bolts, as they have a nut (ideally 2 nuts or a nyloc) on the inside they won't unscrew

Designing shed/workshop from scratch ... advice?

Looks good, what's the length/width/height? Is the framework mainly crica 4x2s?

What 2 stroke oil to buy (for a ground auger) (Ed.)

Just get some premixed alkylate petrol - Aspen/Stihl/Husqvarna. Most good garden machinery shops should have it. You might be disappointed by the auger - they really need to be hydraulic and mounted on a machine

Clamps for temporary fencing.... without gaps.

Cable ties? Or a bit of old fence wire twisted round? Or if you're feeling fancy, a jubilee clip?

    How to improve ugly fences

They're already painted anyway As my pal would say "paint it once and you're painting it for life" I actually think the fences themselves look fine, what's letting the place down is the fact the garden is empty, apart from a plastic shed and a whirlygig
